Once a year I have a sale on all* my online classes. This sale starts today. Because so many of you live in other countries in different time zones, you’ll find that the codes below are good through Friday, December 5th. If you have been wanting an online class or two or three, this is the week to purchase those.
All my classes are 15% off and there is an extra bonus for Fringeless: Four-selvedge Warping with a 20% off code.** The 15% off code will work for as many classes as you want to purchase.
For 15% off use code WeaveTapestry

Summary of online classes
Beginners and Newbies! If you’re new to tapestry or you need a refresher of the techniques, I have three beginning classes.
Introduction to Tapestry Weaving. This inexpensive class gives you a peek into my teaching style and gets you started with a couple basic techniques. If you’re someone who loves kits, Gist Yarn offers this class in a bundle with a loom and yarn HERE. (Note that Gist’s sale on this kit ends today, 12/1/25!)
Warp and Weft: Learning the Structure of Tapestry Weaving. This comprehensive course covers all the basics of tapestry weaving in some depth. It is a large course but by the end of it you’ll be well on your way to making the images you’re interested in creating!
Weaving Tapestry on Little Looms. This class was created specifically for people who want to weave on small peg or slot looms and have no intention of taking an in-depth technique class like Warp and Weft.
Introduction to Rug Weaving. This class is new this year and uses Gist Array’s Dwella rug yarn. The class teaches you how to weave angles, curves, and do eccentric outlines as we weave two table-top rug-weight projects. It is appropriate for beginners though it does help if you’ve had some experience with tapestry before (Intro to Tapestry would be a great option). You can get the class and the warp and weft yarn in a kit from Gist Yarn HERE.
Advanced beginners and intermediate weavers. If you have taken at least the Introduction to Tapestry Weaving class mentioned above (or want to take it along with these options!), here are some next steps once you have some basics under your fingers:
Summer of Tapestry color weaving inspired by this claret cup cactus.
Summer of Tapestry. This is a fun class I teach every year starting in May but it can be taken any time. There are four of them now and they’re all ready for you to dive into. Each year has different prompts to get you exploring your environment and weaving about it.
Color Gradation Techniques. This is a techniques class that was intended to follow Warp and Weft. It offers information about how to move color around in tapestry weaving and create gradations in different directions.
Tapestry Discovery Box. Admittedly, this is not on sale, but the program has been wildly successful and many people just love the structure of this class. It is sold through Gist Yarn and includes weft yarn. I produce a class each quarter focused on a technique or idea and then give you a couple projects to choose from to practice your skills. The current box is about line in tapestry and is available to purchase through December 31.
For intermediate tapestry weavers, I have two in-depth design courses. Once you’ve mastered techniques, the question becomes, how do I design for tapestry?
And I have some special classes for people who want to deepen their skills in various areas.
Fringeless: Four-selvedge Warping with Sarah C. Swett and Rebecca Mezoff. This class is taught mostly by Sarah Swett with some additions from me. It is a class about how to make a four-selvedge warp that gives you a shed the entire time you’re weaving. Sarah has a magical mind and her creativity and laughter fill this fun class. The code for 20% off this class is different! Use FourSideFun
Dyeing with Acid Wool dyes. If you’ve always wanted to dye your own yarn, this class takes the fear out of doing that! I’ve been dyeing my own tapestry yarn for 20 years now and I’ve shared my process in this class.
One-subject courses: I currently offer three courses about one subject. They are:
Fixing Your Sheds (Need to learn how to fix shedding problems? This is the class for you!)
Fringeless tapestries by Sarah Swett
Gift Certificates
I do offer gift certificates for all of my classes (except the TDB) in the shop on my website. Santa can purchase the class and download a gift certificate that can be given to the lucky weaver for the holidays or any other occasion. The discount is applied in the shop and are available only this week. I will not be issuing gift certificates for classes that are not yet made, so you won’t find one for Summer of Tapestry 2026.
Happy weaving!
Tapestry weaving is a wonderful way to create images with yarn. Whether you’re weaving small things on looms you can hold in your lap and travel with or creating large-format works on floor looms, I hope my online classes help you on your journey. If you need to see some reviews from past students, there are many on my website HERE.
I will see you all in class!
*The sale does not apply to the Tapestry Discovery Box that I sell through Gist Yarn. However, they do have two of the Tapestry Discovery Boxes available as stand-alone classes. The Curves, Circles, Hills and Valleys box and the Wedge Weave box are discounted today and you can find them on Gist’s website HERE. Note that their sale is for 10% off and it ends today. No code is needed, the discount is applied already. They also have the Introduction to Tapestry Weaving kit and the Introduction to Rug Weaving kit on sale.
**The 15% off code will also work for Fringeless, so if you want 20% off, please make sure to use the special code for that class.
