Webster Arts is a non-profit organization that supports art in the greater St. Louis area. They run a large art fair every year and they also have a gallery space with shows all year long.
In 2018, they are hosting a show of the tapestry work of my students in July and August. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your work shown and support the community of tapestry weavers we're creating together.

Please note that this is a curated show. Webster Arts will be chosing works that fit in their space and best represent a wide variety of student tapestry work. I (Rebecca) will NOT be making any choices about works selected.
Two and three dimensional works can be accommodated. Tapestries of all size will be considered. The work does not have to be something you created while taking one of my courses or workshops but the show is only open to people who have been my students either online or in workshops or retreats.
The entry form is linked in the prospectus. If your system is not allowing you to click through from the PDF, you can go HERE. Please note that you must send your photos to Jeane Vogel, executive director of Webster Arts, in a separate email.
A few more thoughts about the show from Rebecca
This show idea came from a fellow student online. Webster Arts has a large enough gallery to accommodate a large number of tapestries and I would love to see it filled! This is a fantastic opportunity to have tapestry seen as an art form and in a place where the public and those of us who can visit can see it in person.
This show is for tapestry weavers of all abilities. Please do not think that if you're a beginner your work isn't good enough to show. It is my hope that we will be able to showcase all levels of ability in a joyful and inclusive way. There is no fee to apply, so please do! This is a fun way to see your work displayed in a professional gall and it is a wonderful way to support this community of tapestry weavers. The work can also be for sale.
